On Jan.13th, 50 cadres with Party membership watched a movie “Deng Xiaoping Climbing Mount Huang”, a move organized by the Party Committee of the Institute to recall Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s lofty character and revolutionary spirit, which was a key part of the education program of “Two Studies and One Being (studying the Party Constitution and Regulations and talks by CPC General Secretary XI Jinping and being a Qualified Party member)”.
The movie, based on realistic renditions, depicted Deng’s climbing of Mount Huang, a well-known tourist attraction in China, and his “Talk on Mount Huang”. It was a story between a great figure and a mountain, a vivid telling of Deng’s thoughts on opening to the outside world and his love of the people. The movie was also spiced with episodes of Deng’s thoughts and views on household contract system in a village in Anhui Province in late 1970s, resumption of the unified national entrance exam for higher learning, return of sovereignty of Hong Kong to China and other issues of historic significance. The movie represented Deng’s great personal charisma and lofty style, brushing up people’s memory of Deng Xiaoping, the general designer of reform and opening up as well as modern construction, in leading the Chinese people to the road of prosperity and well-being.
The cadres were excited and touched by a baptism in mind’s depth, with ideological inspirations and encouragement, with which they were to forge ahead in real efforts in their jobs for a good kickoff of the new year.
