On Sept. 19th, leaders of ten branches from Shijiazhuang, Guangzhou and Zhengzhou etc met in the Institute for exchanges. President WANG Chunyan, Party Secretary WANG Jianhua and other leaders joined them in a forum.

Vice-president YE Hongzhang gave a welcome speech on behalf of the leadership before briefing on the setting up of branches in other provinces while expressing his hope that the forum would boost growth of the Institute.

President WANG followed with congratulations on the forum, saying it was a long-planned one aimed at concerted wisdom for development and that the full support from branches was indispensable to achievements of the Institute. In her briefing, she said that, in order to challenge the sluggish market of architecture and design, the Institute (general) set up the Project Management Center, Studio of Landscape Lighting and R&D Center to spur extension of industry chains and tap new markets; the Institute contracted some key projects amid the ongoing flourishing infrastructure boom nationwide including planning the standards of pipe corridors and sponge cities; also, the Institute contracted the general planning of Tangshan City, control planning and professional planning which displayed the think tank function of the Institute. WANG also said that the Institute was tracking municipal planning which is a new field of design in modern urban development. She concluded her remarks with an introduction of key projects of the World Horticulture Expo, Longquan Temple and the 2nd Ring Road of the city.

Regarding development of the Institute (general) and branches for sustainable cycles, WANG said that some policies would be adopted to form a simple replicable mode to fully support the development of the Institute and create stages for branches in their own cities.

Branch leaders all passionately responded with heated discussions and suggestions on technical support from the Institute, exchange of business and advanced experiences and ideas.
