On the eve of the 25th Golden Rooster-Hundred Flowers Film Festival of China, a lecture, themed “60 years of China’s films and me”, was given in Yanshan Theater. The move was intended to heat up social enthusiasm to turn the festival into a grand culture feast. Party members and staffers form the Institute attended the lecture.
ZHANG Zicheng, well-known film-maker and member of the China Association of Film-Makers, was invited as keynote speaker. Mr. ZHANG briefed, with passion and motion, the history of China’s film industry over the past 60 years, revealing stories rarely known to outsiders. His deep fascination and the valuable efforts from all involved in 60 years well depicted the unremitting hard work from those to monumental films.
The lecture impressed the audience in that the thriving development of China’s film industry owes its credit to the persistent efforts of generations of those involved. Likewise, survey and design cannot do without the devotion and commitment from those engaged whole-heartedly. In face of the sluggish market, all staffers of the Institute vow to unite as one in their work, making their utmost contributions to a long-lasting business, “three development tasks” and promotion of an international coastal city.
