Staff Donate for Flood-stricken Areas
On July 18-20th, the central south and northern coastal areas of the province were stricken by continuous torrential rainfall, causing severe flooding in the areas and affecting 800,000 people, claiming 26 deaths and an economic loss worth of over 7 billion yuan. The disaster roused great concern among the staff of the Institute, who donated money under the call of the municipal Party Committee and the Bureau of Planning as well as the Institute’s Party Committee and Labor Union.
Two days saw a show of love to flooding victims: the staff donated a total of 6,000 yuan, which was forwarded on 9th to the Bureau of Planning, who later transferred the money to a designated account.
Upon the 40th anniversary of the great quake, Tangshan people have never forgotten the aid and help from people from other countries and are proud of a new Tangshan after nirvana. Now facing the flooding, the staff of the Institute are most willing to offer their help and a heart of love, believing that aid from all people to those in need would help those stricken in disaster have a better future.
