On May 16th, the Party Committee of the Institute held a mobilization meeting, starting the program of “Two Studies and One Being (studying the Party Constitution and Regulations and talks by CPC General Secretary XI Jinping and being a Qualified Party member)”. Party Secretary WANG Jianhua gave a mobilization speech including specific arrangements.
Secretary WANG delivered a Party lesson with the theme of “exercising the Party’s purpose and being a qualified Party member”. He first made explanations on the purpose, significance and requirements of the program of“Two Studies and One Being”. He then pointed out some weaknesses available among Party members of the Institute: weak belief in Communist ideal, awareness of Party’s purpose, Party character, aggressive spirit and bad working styles. WANG further proposed six requirements on being a qualified Party member: 1.firm belief of Communist ideal and strong confidence and courage to forge ahead; 2. cultivation of Party character to consolidate the foundation of being a person, a successful career, correct articulation and upright moral; 3.memory of the Party’s purpose and sticking to the mass line approach; 4.upholding a clean style to avoid corruption; 5. being a model in ”Four Stresses (of Politics, Beliefs, Rules and Disciplines) and Four Virtues(of Moral, Character, Contributions and Achievements); 6.carrying forward the Party’s excellent traditional styles to defend and develop the Party’s progressiveness.
On implementation of the program, the Party Committee of the Institute put forward the following requirements. First, all leaders are to play leading roles, including leadership members and secretaries to be models for others by proper arrangements, strengthened supervision and examination of the studies of each Party branch and members. Second, regular activities of the Party members must be standardized in terms of “Three Meetings and One Lesson” by the principle of finding questions, correcting mistakes during studies and prompt solution of problems in a targeted way throughout the program. Third, activities should be diversified in that test systems should be perfected in conjunction with the core socialist values and campaign of competition for being a civilized unit. Fourth, examples should be set up in close relation with practical work and various contents for study and innovative channels with unique features and exemplary figures as prominent characteristics. Fifth, supervision and checks must be strengthened for implementation of Party Constitution and regulations and warnings timely given in case of violations so as to safeguard their rigor. Sixth, overall consideration should be given to all aspects by integrating study with production and corporate culture construction in order to promote the Institute to a new high level via “Two Studies and One Lesson”.
