On May 4th, young staff of were organized for a visit to the Central Lake Eco-Park, part of the Tangshan World Horticulture Expo 2016. The visit was a move to observe the 67th May 4th Movement Day to celebrate its spirit of “patriotism, progress, democracy and science”. The Party Committee, Youth League and Labor Union of the Institute held the celebration to help the young to uphold ideal and belief in communism.
The first stop was the Planning Exhibition of Tangshan City, one of the main exhibitions of the Exop. President WANG gave a field speech, saying that to observe the May 4th Movement and carry forward its spirit, emancipation of the mind should be made and great goal set. She called on all young staff to work hard, train their moral and, by virtue of the Institute as a platform, make innovations and contributions to the great voyage of the Institute’s development. WANG proudly explained to all the work done by the Institute in preparing the exhibition: the Institute’s Department of Consultancy of Projects, Department I of Construction Design, Department V and Department of Design were all involved; all staff worked day and night and fulfilled all tasks to make due contributions to opening of the Expo, under the leadership of the municipal government and Planning Bureau.
The staff then saw for themselves the Expo park, in close touch with the grand historical changes of “nirvana of city and nature”, achievements made in after-quake restoration of ecology and reconstructions. The youths all expressed their determination to be van-guards in innovation-driven development, protection of environment, restoration of ecology, shift of the resource-intensive development mode of the city to a sustainable one to make unremitting efforts to construction and development of Tangshan City.
