On December 21, "Hualing Etiquette Model Cup" 3rd Tangshan Etiquette Culture Contest was inaugurated in Nanlu Movie and TV Base. The contest was organized by Tangshan Association of Etiquette Culture and co-hosted by the Tangshan Civilization Office, the Executive Committee Office of the Tangshan World Horticultural Expo 2016, Tangshan Bureau of Culture, Radio & Television, Press and Publication, etc. Nine individual contestants and eight teams from various walks of life participated in the Contest, which consisted of four sections, namely comprehensive etiquette cultural quality show, etiquette show, talent show and industry etiquette style show. Solemn and elegant Han-Dynasty-style ritual acting, warm and decent window service etiquette show and other wonderful performances represented a dignified and elegant etiquette exhibition.

The Institute, though in face of such difficulties as busy work at the end of the year as well as heavy and pressing preparation work for attending the contest, organized serious learning and repeated rehearsals before delivering 3 excellent programs for the Contest, including a standard, gentle and elegant ceremonial show, a sonorous, forceful and rhythmic poetry reading and a hot, passionate and fantastic belly dance, all leaving a deep impression on the expert judges and the audience.

On the afternoon of December 29, the Contest concluded with an award ceremony. The Institute won the 2nd-class Team Award and the Award of Excellent Organization. Through participating in this activity, the Institute exhibited outstanding industry etiquette ethos, and furthermore, by organizing learning and publicity on civilized manners, made positive efforts for promoting the campaign of “Love Tangshan by Contributions”.
