Scheduling Meeting Held for Operation/Production of the First Quarter

On the morning of April 8, the Institute convened a scheduling meeting for operation and production of the first quarter. The meeting, chaired by YE Hongzhang (Vice President of the Institute), was attended by leaders including WANG Chunyan (President of the Institute) and WANG Jianhua (Secretary of the Party Committee) as well as principals of all units.
At the meeting, Vice President YE delivered a brief of operation and production, comprehensive output and the number of signed contracts in the first three straight months of 2015. He said that the operation in the first quarter of 2015 is slightly better, compared to the same period in the previous years; however, market situation is still severe, with a dim prospect due to declining tasks in operation for all the units. He expressed his hope that all the units should work harder in contracting for business, widely exploit resources in a multi-channel manner, and positively explore markets in counties and districts; and that all the units should actively change their thoughts to open up new sectors and learn new techniques in order to strive for a new break-through. Also, Vice President YE delivered a report with respect to the construction progress of the Scientific Research and Design Building.Leaders of the management offices and production sections briefed to the attendees about their respective work arrangement, ongoing tasks as well questions arising from their work. At the same meeting, each vice president and chief engineer emphasized the necessity of mastering new norms based on production tasks.
Secretary WANG Jianhua delivered the sprit in documents covering the requirements for making strict the working disciplines and in combating “four undesirable work styles (formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance)”, from the Notice on Further Making Strict Working Disciplines and Styles in Administrative Bodies and the Feedback Opinions by Inspection Group 9 With Provincial Party Committee on Inspection of Tangshan, warning that all Party members and cadres should know the political and economic situations to enhance political sensibility, to be strict with themselves and to lead well their subordinates.
  In the end, WAN Chunyan, President of the Institute, made a closing speech. She delivered a report on urgent deployment of organizational disciplines released by the Bureau Leadership Meeting, requiring all the leaders and personnel, especially leadership and Party members and cadres, observe strictly the “‘eight-point’ guideline for fighting bureaucracy and formalism and rejecting extravagance among Party members” and remain vigilant at all times in combating “four undesirable work styles (formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance)”. And she said that principals of units should set an example by personally taking part now that 2015 witnesses the deepening of management in the Institute, so as to achieve concrete management efficiency: first, middle-level cadres should attach importance to obtain effective information in communicating with others, grasping timeliness of communication information and fully improving their own comprehensive quality; second, cadres should aim at resources, devoting greater effort to expand business, carrying out broad strategic cooperation and avoiding market risks in good time.
Before the end of the meeting, Vice Present LIU Yumin made to the attendees a brief introduction of the visit, he accompanied, by President WANG to the Urban Construction Design & Research Institute of Anhui Province, sharing its ten-year unique styles of rapid development by “starting from scratch, then scaling new heights,” which gave the Institute new enlightenment and deliberation on management innovation and process of development.
