On the afternoon of February 6th, Summary-Commendation Assembly 2014 of the Institute was convened in the meeting room on the 6th floor. Top and mid-level cadres were all present. Vice President YE Hongzhang chaired the meeting.
YE read out the ranking in output value in 2014 of all the production departments and the list of personnel passing examinations for professional certification. Institute leaders awarded cash prize to all prize-winners and outstanding departments such as Road & Bridge Department and Planning Department.
President WANG Chunyan, on behalf of the leadership, delivered a keynote speech, including congratulations to the prize-winning departments and individuals, in addition to encouragement for more efforts and progress. WANG pointed out that in 2014 Tangshan suffered a hard “freezing period”in economic development, facing a harsh economic environment and flagging survey and design market and that, in spite of this, all cadres and staff strictly followed the overall plan, working together against difficulties, meeting all objectives successfully, setting another 7 records in the institute and harvesting over RMB100 million in income from project design, a figure that kept stable in five consecutive years. She added that all achievements were contributed to with the overall improvement in the quality of the staff, constant perfection of management skills and, moreover, the harmony and unity for a common goal.
Regarding work in 2015, President WANG stressed that 2015 would witness an important transformation and opportunity of rapid development in the Institute. She called on all staff to follow the guidance of “scientific outlook of development”, study, adapt to, serve the “new normal”in order to seize opportunities, work hard for the core task of operation and production, grasp the opportunities brought about by the World Garden Expo 2016 to be held in Tangshan, “urban-rural integration”as well as the strategy, put forward in the two sessions of Hebei Province, that “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region depends its development on Tangshan while Tangshan on Caifeidian District”, explore new business fields, strive for better quality and higher efficiency based on delicate management as well as better abilities in coping with crises and challenges for more achievements in all aspects. In the end, President WANG laid specific requirements on safety and stability for the coming Spring Festival.
