Scheduling Meeting Held for Operation/Production of 2015
On the morning of January 23rd, the Institute convened the scheduling meeting for operation and production of 2015. The meeting, chaired by YE Hongzhang (Vice President of the Institute), was attended by leaders including WANG Chunyan (President of the Institute) and WANG Jianhua (Secretary of the Party Committee) as well as mid-level principals.
At the conference, Vice President YE delivered a brief of operation and production in 2014 and explained a preliminary plan for 2015. He said that the production output/value, at RMB126 million, of 2014 was higher than expected, reaching 115.91%. He stressed that all production units should improve the quality of design and step up efforts in market expansion and project reserve; all leaders should devote greater efforts to pursue design fee and ensure stable operation of all production units by giving more positive regard to staff and resolving contradictions among employees in a timely manner.
Leaders of each management and production unit briefed attendees about their respective work progress and ongoing tasks.
Secretary WANG delivered a report covering several events: the appointment of new leaders and adjustment of organization of the Institute where, approved by the Municipal Bureau of Urban-Rural Planning, WU Xiaokun was appointed as chairman of the Labor Union, LI Shuanglai Vice President of the Institute, LIU Huanzhong Chief Engineer; incorporation of №6 Architectural Design Department into №2 Architectural Design Department to form “№2 Architectural Design Department (Pipe Network Department) led by LI Shuanglai (also Vice President of the Institute); appointment of GAN Yu, REN Wei, WANG Chao, LI Wei and MA Kui as mid-level leaders; delivery of the spirit of education conferences held at municipal and bureau levels to remind all cadres and Party members of taking lessons from various cases of violation of laws and discipline to improve their self-consciousness in combating “four undesirable work styles (formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance)”and “corruption”for clean administration; a notice of criticism, involving 14 mid-level cadres (form Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute) who violated procedures of petition, which was a lesson for all.
In the end, WAN Chunyan, President of the Institute, made a closing speech. She expressed her emotions by saying that, thanks to everyone’s mutual help and assistance, the Institute, despite the fact that 2014 was an unusually tough year with complicated economic difficulties at home and abroad, had made achievements and fruits after a long period of hardship under the pressure of downward economic growth. She added that at the beginning of this year the Institute once again would make a strategic decision to boost resource integration via the incorporation of departments №6 and №2, which would reverse the disadvantageous situation of the “Institute being class A while its departments class B”in order to lay an organizational foundation for undertaking large public building projects (over one million square meters) in days to come in addition to a transition, in the plan of operation and production in 2015, from the old model with the number of staff of each department as the calculation standard to a new one based on each department and its qualification class with the aim to promote balanced development among all departments to create greater value. WANG concluded her remarks by looking into 2015, saying that China’s macro-economy would step into “new normal”featured with well-organized adjustments and steady progress and that the economy of Tangshan would greatly benefit from the construction of Caofeidian District, World Garden Expo 2016 and Local Leaders’Meeting of China-Central and Eastern European Countries. She raised attendees’spirits by saying that everyone should be keen in feeling the pulse of the economy in “new normal”, firmly catch every opportunity for the development of the Institute and strive with firm confidence and hard work for new leaps and achievements.
