Zhao Zhigang, born in 1956, became an orphan in the wake of the Great Earth Quake of Tangshan in 1976, with his wife having died of cancer 5 years ago, and a 18 year old daughter, he has no other family members. In the year 2013, Zhao Zhigang was diagnosed with thrombosis, fortunately he survived with full capability to daily living. However, the illness of stomach bleeding forced him to be hospitalized again, the daily expense was as high as about 10,000 RMB. To attend to her sick father, his daughter stayed around ever since her graduation from secondary college, without ever finding a job, the mere fact made the already impoverished family ever more hardened up.
Zhao Zhigang is a retired employee from our Institute, our leaders raised high awareness as soon as they have heard about the diagnosis of his illness, immediately instructed the Union to take action to support and help Zhao Zhigang. The directive group of leaders set role models to donate for him, the cadres and the rest of the employees reacted by actively participating in the philanthropic action. With only two days’time, the sum of the donation had accumulated up to 29,920 RMB. The quickness and amount of this donation has been the greatest throughout TPADRI history.
The entire deed embodies the virtues of unity, friendly affection, selfless help.
In the afternoon of November the 7th, Party Secretary Wang Jianhua, Union Chairman Wang Lianzhu and other union members went to Tangshan Workers’Hospital to visit Zhao Zhigang, thoroughly comprehended his state of illness and the treatment conditions, Wang Jianhua conveyed the Institute leaders’regards and exhortations to him, then he gave the donations which are full of TPADRI members’benevolence. Looking at the helpless daughter at the sickbed and the feeble look of the patient, everybody was depressed and downhearted. Nevertheless, we all saw hope through the altruistic act of the neighbor sister, It is understood that, after Zhao threw up blood, in panic, Zhao’s daughter went over to knock her neighbor’s door, upon knowing that, the neighbor sister called the ambulance and accompanied the family going to the hospital, helped attend the patient day and night. Though the benevolent act was deemed unfavorable by her family at the very beginning, the good deed finally warmed all their hearts. Because we believe bits of love will accumulate into a river, flowing into everybody’s heart to give them faith to survive the hardships.
To help this family get out of shadow as soon as possible, to help Zhao Zhigang recover quickly, we all hope that our staff will continue to stretch out their helping hands. Hereby we sincerely appeal: Those who are kindhearted in this society, please give more help to Zhao Zhigang’s family! Let’s cohere every bit of sincerity, bring out every piece of benevolence, help Zhao’s family to reconstruct.
