On the morning of November 2nd, a mobilization and exchange meeting for chief engineers was held for the project of Wuhai Hospital. President WANG Chunyan, vice-president YE Hongzhang, Chief Architect WU Xiaokun and relevant chief engineers and designers from the 5th Department of Project Reinforcement and Architectural Design Dept. IV attended the meeting in Room 211.
In the meeting, WANG Chao, deputy department director,briefed on the project of the hospital. President WANG followed with requirements. She said the Institute had been pursuing the project for three years, submitted 17 designs and injected over 500,000yuan, successfully winning the bidding, a justification of the overall capability of the Institute and confirmaiton of the staff’s efforts and commitment. She further pointed out that the project, a key one of the Institute, has been carried out under cooperation of three levels of the Institute, including all units in full devotion,all majors in close coordination, all chief engineers in collaboration as per technical standards while employing professional medical architect teams as advisors of functions. The president asked for advancedness of the design and activeness of all services. She encouraged all to be fully confident, concert their efforts to make the project a state-of-the-art one, based on the Institute’s platform and technical advantages, to make it a well-known namecard of the Institute
The meeting went on with exchanges between Institute leaders and chief engineers of all fields. President WANG stressed control of the cost of design in spite of the high requirements from the hospital and a short construction period. WU Xiaokun emphasized smooth connection between functions of two phases.Vice-president LI Shuanglai called for full meeting of the hospital’s actual needs and reasonable streamlines of the buildings. Chief Engineer LIU Huanzhong asked for strict observation of the rule of countersignature as well as supervision of duties on the part of all professionals. Director CHEN Haigang proposed a weekly routine meeting to collaborate all issues involved. The meeting also decided to designate a person in full charge on the spot to supervise all work and act as liaison with parties concerned.
