As annual professional title assessment kicked off this year, the Institute approved 3 professionals for promotion as full senior engineers, 22 as associate engineers and 24 as engineers, as per Instructions for Professional Titles of Tangshan City(2018) issued by the municipal leading group of title reforms.
Based on fairness, openness and justness, the Institute complied with procedures of recommendation: first, the Division of Personnel held a mobilization meeting for all who wished to be promoted, followed by scrutiny of the performance, research fruits and teamwork of each involved; second, Institute leaders and chief engineers met giving scores for each applicant listed in order; third, the Division, based on responsibility to applicants and their units, summarized their files which were later submitted to municipal leading bodies in charge.
Facing a tight schedule, the Division staff worked overtime each day, seriously examined all files while aiding applicants filling all forms, making a smooth ending of the assessment by mid-September. As a worker must prepare his tools for smooth work, so is the case with this assessment, which surely upgrades the professional quality of all staff, making positive contributions to echelon-like talent build-up of the Institute.
