Leaders of the Institute including President WANG Chunyan and Vice President YE Hongzhang received them at Meeting Room 211 of Building C.
At the meeting, President WANG extended a warm welcome to the guests and then briefed them on the Institute’s development history and major projects.
Mr. LUO said, he was attracted by the Institute’s success in the renovation of Qixin 1889 Cement Industry Museum, which is the only completed cement plant renovation project in China. He hoped, through this visit, to get a more comprehensive understanding of the qualifications, design level, and business capabilities of the Institute and to reach further cooperation intention. Moreover, Mr. LUO gave an overview of Pingdingshan Xinghui 1981 Cement Plant Renovation Project. The project is located in the northern part of Xinhua District of Pingdingshan, a city in central Henan province. The planned land covers about 400 mu (around 266,400 m2), and the area of current buildings (structures) is about 66,000 m2.The design is required to integrate cultural and creative elements into the old factory buildings. That means to use the existing steel bars to combine the big high space and the frame structure of the factory building with modern architectural art, creating a place serving as a creative multi-functional venue, or a flexibly-designed industrial tourism destination as well.
President WANG pointed out the Institute has unique advantages in undertaking such projects. She believed the cooperation between the two sides will bring another amazing integrated tourism center in Pingdingshan.
The attendees at the meeting also included directors of Project Consolidation Dept., Architectural Design Dept. Ⅱ, Business Division and Plan Creation Center.
