On November 24, the second meeting of "Cangzhou-Tangshan-BNA (Binhai New Area)" Two Cities plus One Area Urban Planning Joint Conference was held in the second-floor meeting room of the Institute. The meeting was chaired by GAO Huaijun (Director of Tangshan Urban and Rural Planning Bureau) and attended by over 20 experts, including GUO Fuliang (Deputy Director of the Planning and Land & Resources Administration of the BNA), WANG Zhongchang (Vice President and Chief Planner of Cangzhou Urban Planning and Design Institute) and WANG Chunyan (President of Tangshan Architectural Design and Research Institute).
Against the backdrop of overall coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, the meeting focused on how to enhance regional cooperation and sharing, integrate infrastructure construction and achieve simultaneous development of ecological construction in Tangshan City and Cangzhou City and Tianjin Binhai New Area. At the meeting, representatives from the three regions mainly discussed in detail about the effect of the establishment of the Xiong'an New Zone on planning and management of Tianjin, Tangshan and Cangzhou, route position planning of Bohai Regional Intercity Rail and Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Rail Ⅱ, as well as issues on planning integration in terms of railways, highways, ports and bus routes.
After the meeting, the experts together conducted a study tour to Tangshan’s Industrial Museum, Planning Exhibition Hall and International Horticultural Expo.
