On May 21, the Seminar for Completion Acceptance of Karst Foundation Grouting Treatment Project of Xinye Lanjun Phase Ⅱwas held at the second-floor meeting room of Building A in the Institute. Invited were XU Jianxin (Professor of North China University of Science and Technology) as Chairman of the Expert Review Committee as well as XIE Shengxiang (from Hebei Jidong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.), WANG Lianzhu (from Tangshan Jiancheng Engineering Design Service Co., Ltd.), BIAN Jimin (from Tangshan Kailuan Survey Design Co., Ltd.) and SONG Zehua (Chief Survey Engineer of the Institute) as members of the Expert Review Committee. Also present were representatives of construction , supervision and testing units.
Xinye Lanjun Project is located in Guye District of Tangshan City, to the south of Nangongfang and north of Qunyingdao. On March 9, Jianyan Company arranged for 13 technicians and over 20 workers to start grouting treatment over unstable areas ascertained in the "Special Investigation Report on Karst of Xinye Lanjun Phase Ⅱ", finished in 36 days. On April 13, the project completed, with 34 boreholes drilled, a total drill footage of 1,020 meters, a maximum single hole grouting volume of 93m³ and a cumulative amount of grouting of 800m³ in the actual construction.
At the seminar, the expert team heard the detailed reports made by various units on the construction, supervision and examination of the karst foundation grouting treatment project, consulted relevant materials and, after questioning & defense procedure and serious discussions, finally affirmed that the karst fissures and development zones had been filled effectively, grouting quality meeting design requirements, and expected karst foundation grouting effect achieved.
